Yes, it's a little pricier than other similar items.But the quality is significantly better as well.There's no question that this unit will support a heavy stand mixer, stacks of mixing bowls, or other weightier kitchen items.The support mechanism is ultra sturdy and secure.Installation was handled by a local handyman, and took less than an hour to do the entire kitchen.If you can do it yourself, you'll find it's very straightforward, with clear directions.
I ended up purchasing 12 of these for use in all my bottom cabinets, in this size as well as some of the narrower ones.It was a bit of an investment, but these will last a lot longer than my knees and back will!I couldn't be happier.
